Auditioning From Home: “Help! I’m Stuck In My Closet With A Microphone!”

The good old days are long gone, and the new normal for voiceover auditions is doing it alone at home, with little if anything to go on. And then of course there’s dialogue! Andy will talk about the advantages (yes there are advantages) and disadvantages of reading alone, along with some tips and techniques to help improve your confidence and audition performances.

Andy Lerner has spent decades as voice actor, casting director, producer, writer & voice director. He has produced and directed thousands of radio spots – notably as one of the country’s leading resources for humor based radio commercials. He’s also produced and directed several short films, episodic television and online content. Andy is currently voice directing SpongeBob Squarepants, and The Patrick Star Show for Nickelodeon.
Having the unique perspective of working on both sides of the microphone, he brings a depth of experience to his coaching for voice actors.
